Over 1,700 patients to benefit from screenings for Myopia, Dry Eye, Glaucoma, and ENT-related issues across India
ENTOD Pharmaceuticals, a leading specialty pharmaceutical company, proudly celebrates its 48th Foundation Day with a week-long nationwide initiative aimed at promoting eye and ENT health. As part of the celebrations, the company is conducting free screening and awareness camps across India to address rising concerns around eye conditions such as myopia, dry eyes, and glaucoma, along with select ENT-related disorders.
This year’s campaign is one of ENTOD’s largest community outreach drives, with over 70 hospitals and clinics participating across key cities and states. The initiative brings together more than 70 healthcare professionals, including ophthalmologists and ENT specialists, who are collectively screening and educating over 1,700 patients. The camps are being held in Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana, Jharkhand, Haryana, Gujarat, Maharashtra, and West Bengal, along with major metros like Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, and others.
Focusing on specific areas of concern, myopia education and screening camps are being carried out at over 40 hospitals and clinics across states like Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana, Jharkhand, Haryana, Gujarat, and Maharashtra (particularly in Mumbai and Pune), reaching more than 800 patients. In parallel, free dry eye check-up camps are underway in cities including Mumbai, Delhi, Gurgaon, Chennai, Bangalore, and key towns in Uttar Pradesh such as Varanasi, Lucknow, Meerut, and Agra, along with Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat. These are being conducted across 20 centers, engaging 20 doctors and benefiting approximately 400 individuals.
ENTOD is also organizing specialized glaucoma detection camps using tonometer machines in cities like Mumbai, Pune, Aurangabad, Delhi, and locations in West Bengal. Spanning 10+ clinics, these camps aim to serve over 500 patients, focusing on early detection and awareness of glaucoma, a serious condition that is often diagnosed too late. The initiative also includes free ENT check-up camps in Mumbai and Pune, with 2 dedicated clinics serving 40+ patients for common ENT concerns.
In addition to its healthcare outreach, ENTOD Pharmaceuticals has extended a meaningful gesture of support to India’s border communities through the MATANAND Welfare Foundation by donating a school bus to the Army Goodwill School, Raghavan, in the remote village of Machhal, Kupwara District, Jammu & Kashmir—just 4 kilometers from the Line of Control (LoC). The Machhal Valley, recently affected by cross-border hostilities, is one of India’s most sensitive and underserved regions. The donation addresses the acute shortage of safe student transportation at the school, which serves 307 children from scattered hamlets. The new bus will provide safer, more reliable travel for students across the treacherous terrain, reduce daily fatigue, and help improve attendance and academic focus—while offering greater peace of mind to families living in this high-risk area.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Nikkhil K Masurkar, Executive Director of ENTOD Pharmaceuticals, said, “Celebrating our 48th Foundation Day is a proud and emotional moment for all of us at ENTOD. It’s not just about marking another year in our journey—it’s about reflecting on the lives we’ve touched and the communities we’ve served over the decades. Through these free screening camps, we’re taking real steps to make preventive eye and ENT care more accessible, especially for those who may not have easy access to regular check-ups. Early detection can make all the difference, and our goal is to raise awareness, offer support, and empower people to take charge of their health. As part of this commitment, we’ve also extended support to the children of Machhal Valley in Jammu & Kashmir by donating a school bus to improve safe access to education in this high-risk region. As we continue to grow, our commitment remains rooted in compassion, service, and putting people first.”
Dr. A. Sushma Reddy, MBBS DNB Ophthalmology , Hyderabad added, “Regular eye screenings are crucial for early detection of conditions like myopia, dry eyes, and glaucoma, which often progress silently. Initiatives like ENTOD’s Foundation Day camps play a vital role in reaching underserved populations, helping prevent avoidable vision loss through timely diagnosis and treatment. I am proud to be part of this meaningful effort to improve eye health awareness and care across India.”
Dr. Sanjana Nemade, MS ENT, PROFESSOR & HEAD, DEPT OF ENT

shared, “ENT health is often overlooked until symptoms become severe, but many common ENT issues can be managed effectively if caught early. ENTOD’s free check-up camps provide an excellent opportunity for communities to access specialized ENT care and education, which is essential for maintaining overall health and well-being. I commend ENTOD for championing accessible healthcare and encouraging preventive check-ups.”
