Motherhood Hospitals Kharghar celebrated Children’s Day with a vibrant event that brought smiles to the faces of young attendees while highlighting the importance of pediatric health. In collaboration with the Beautiful Tomorrow Foundation and S.H. Divyang School, the celebration included over 56 children and their families. The day featured a variety of fun activities alongside essential health check-ups, which included growth and nutritional assessments, embodying the spirit of the occasion.
In recent years, lifestyle-related health issues among children, such as obesity, insulin resistance, autoimmune diseases, and behavioral problems, have become increasingly concerning. Factors such as a sedentary lifestyle, poor dietary choices, and excessive screen time significantly contribute to these health issues. This makes regular preventive health checks essential for early intervention and effective management.
“At Motherhood Hospital, we believe in nurturing the health and happiness of every child,” said Dr. Anish Pillai, Lead Consultant in Neonatology and Paediatrics. “Our Children’s Day celebration was designed to create a joyful atmosphere while providing essential health services. The event featured cartoon mascots, magic shows, and engaging games, alongside free health screenings. It was heartening to see the excitement on children’s faces as they participated in the activities and received free health check-ups.”
Dr. Pillai further emphasized the importance of preventive care: “Children are the future of our country, and it is essential to provide them with appropriate facilities for growth and development. By doing so, we can empower them to bring about impactful change in society. Laying a strong foundation for better health is critical, and every child has the right to receive top-notch healthcare services for an improved quality of life.”
Dr. Rupali Sunil Kadam, Facility Director of Motherhood Hospital, added further, “The rise in lifestyle-related health issues underscores the importance of preventive health checks. As advocates for children’s health, we strive to educate parents about the significance of regular screenings and the need for healthy lifestyle choices. Awareness is key to ensuring our children lead healthier lives.”
The celebration concluded with the children cutting a cake, receiving gifts, and dancing to their favorite tunes, creating lasting memories of joy and health.
Through initiatives like this, Motherhood Hospital remains committed to raising parents’ awareness about the importance of preventive health checks and the overall well-being of their children.
Manisha P. Thakare, Principal, of Beautiful Tomorrow Foundation, S.H Divyang Centre said “We appreciate Motherhood Hospital Kharghar for hosting such a joyous Children’s Day celebration.
