Opens centre in Surat
Neuberg Diagnostics and Abha Laboratory based out of Surat have formed a joint venture to inaugurate a state-of-the-art central laboratory in Surat. The new company called Neuberg Abha Clinical Laboratories was inaugurated in the presence of Darshana Jardosh, Union State Minister of Railways and Textiles, Dr GSK Velu, CMD, Neuberg Diagnostics, Dr Sandip Shah, Executive Director, Neuberg Diagnostics, Dr Bhavini Shah, Director, Neuberg Supratech Reference Laboratories, Dr Kirit Naik, MD, Neuberg Abha Clinical Laboratories and Dr Prashant K Naik, Deputy MD, Neuberg Abha Clinical Laboratories.
The JV agreement between Neuberg and Abha paves the way for introducing new generation tests and makes all high-end laboratory tests available at an affordable cost for the people of Surat. The lab which is located at ring road is equipped to conduct and process about 2500-3000 samples in a day and deliver results within the given turnaround time which differs from test to test while maintaining the best-in-class quality. The lab plans to open 15-20 collection centres within the next six months across Surat and South Gujarat.
The lab will also focus on specialised testing needs for hospitals, nursing homes, and smaller laboratories across South Gujarat. Additionally, Neuberg as a group is equipped to conduct futuristic tests such as genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, molecular biology, and digital pathology.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Velu said, “Abha laboratory is one of the oldest and best in quality laboratories in Surat with a legacy of 42 years and Neuberg is extremely happy to join hands with Dr KG Naik and Dr Prashant Naik, Promoters of Abha laboratory to serve the people of Surat and adjoining districts in Gujarat. The main objective of this JV is to make available the latest technology in lab testing to all sections of society at an affordable cost. This collaboration will further boost Neuberg’s footprint in every district of Gujarat with an exclusive focus on diagnostics and wellness segments.”
